During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people are experiencing anxiety and other mental health conditions for the first time. JFS is here to help educate and guide you through this experience.
San Antonio Area Foundation Partners with JFS
As everyone in San Antonio grieves the loss of their normal lives during the COVID-19 pandemic, Jewish Family Service of San Antonio is offering support, counseling, food, education and more to the community. The San Antonio Area Foundation is partnering with JFS in these efforts by awarding a $25,000 emergency fund grant.
Jewish Family Service (JFS) has been providing affordable mental health counseling, group therapy, case management, and senior services to the greater San Antonio community and beyond since 1973.
Our services are available to all, regardless of age, race, faith, sexual orientation, or economic status.
We provide more than 10,000 hours of affordable mental health and social services annually by offering services on an income-based sliding fee scale or accepting third-party payment.
JFS has locations on NW Military Highway on the north side and Mission Road on the south side (Mission Reach Wellness & Counseling Center). Both locations are accessible by public transportation.
JFS is able to offer services through the generous support of individual contributors, the The Jewish Federation of San Antonio, Methodist Healthcare Ministries, the San Antonio Area Foundation, and other private funders.
